Last week we were treated to a brilliant article charting the first ten years of Medium.

For those who operate in this space and weren’t too conversant with the history and evolution of Medium, this article gave us a breakdown of the milestones and the multitude of changes which have taken place in the last decade.

I must say that the article gave me a much better appreciation of the writers who existed long before the partnership program went into force.

For those who wrote umpteen posts purely out of love and passion for writing in the days that MPP didn’t exist deserve the highest plaudits.

And yes, that includes Umair Haque, the Lord Chancellor of Vampires.

I joined Medium in October 2017 and I was struck by the existence of a platform solely devoted to the written word.
