18 years on and the memories are as fresh as ever.

London is without question, the greatest city in the world.

While I am prepared to admit to my bias, owing to the fact that I was born here, there’s something extraordinarily special about the city which has recreated nearly every community on this God-given earth.

Palmers Green, Southgate and Finsbury Park is home to the Greek Cypriot community, while Edmonton has a sizeable Turkish contingent.

Golders Green, Stamford Hill, Hampstead Heath and parts of Hendon is home to the Jewish community.

The French community love South Kensington and you are left with the impression that you’re in Paris.

Harlesden in the north of the capital city as well as Shepherd’s bush not too far away is home to the West-Indian community; but so is Brixton, Streatham, and Croydon too.

If you are into top notch Tikka Masalas, you may want to head to Kingsbury, Harrow and Southall, as the Indian community are well established there. There is also Hindu temple on the A406 in Neasden, across the road from where I used to flip burgers.

And just incase you’re wondering where the loud and boisterous Nigerians are, look no further to Peckham…
