We truly live in the age of the digital feudal oligarchs.

These tiny select group of individuals control what we eat, watch, read and listen to on a daily basis.

Not content with their omniscience and omnipotence over humanity, they have taken things a notch by influencing the outcomes of elections in supposedly advanced democracies.

This was proven to be powerfully true in the run up to the American Presidential elections in November, when the South African born plutocrat skewed the algorithms to ensure that his tweets were seen by everyone who logged on to X.

And we all know what the outcome of the election was.

Emboldened and empowered by his stunning success, our protagonist has turned his sights on Europe, which is currently dealing with a massive governing crises with the fall out from the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war and the rise of the extreme right.

And this problem is more pronounced in Europe’s largest economy — Germany — than anywhere else on the continent.

In the last few weeks, we have seen the unravelling of the leading German coalition parties accompanied by a vote of confidence on Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
