The diaspora wars.

There isn’t a day that you won’t find some Nigerian slagging off other Black folks from the diaspora.

Nigerians are quite prominent on social media.

If there’s a controversial opinion on a hot button topic, you can be rest assured that a Nigerian is always on hand to offer his two cents.

It doesn’t matter that he has never travelled out of his hometown or can barely read and write properly, he believes that whatever viewpoint he has is by far superior to everyone else’s.

And don’t even try to begin to dissuade this individual from his bigoted and deluded world view: umpteen years of under-investment in the country’s education have left the average Nigerian with extremely poor comprehension skills to begin to grasp the world around him or her and make a meaningful contribution.

Despite his country being the biggest evidence of the failed experiment called a nation state by the baddest colonizer of all — the United Kingdom of Great Britain — he lacks the skill to put the pieces together to come to some sort of an informed judgement.
