A week is a long time in politics.

It wasn’t too long ago that Benjamin Netanyahu was fighting for his political life and now we are back to where we were in October 2023 with every western leader queuing up to show their support in light of recent events.

So what’s happened?

Israel bombed Iran’s embassy in Syria, with a number of casualties recorded and as expected, reprisal attacks from Iran came, but failed to hit the target because Jordan, the United Kingdom and the United States intercepted the missiles before it got the Israeli airspace.

With Iran’s failed missile attacks, it is expected that the state of Israel will respond in the coming hours and days.

And this may lead to full out war in the most unstable region in the world.

The west along with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates will back Israel while Russia and China (behind the scenes) will back Iran.

Make no mistakes about it, Iran, at its most aggressive, does not want to go to war with anyone right now, but should Israel proceed with its plans to hit back, then we may have world war three on our hands.
