Most of the advice from the world of self-help hasn’t worked for me. I’ve often found that I have to do the opposite of what they say in order to get anywhere in life. I’ve had to learn how to be a little mean. I’ve had to learn how to protect myself from the Rachel and Dave Hollis types, who spew aphorisms they never actually follow.
