Trump's remarks to the predominately white crowd may have been his most racist comments to date. Yet, the smattering of "black conservatives" sitting before him were not particularly bothered by his open racism. Indeed, the white conservatives were not. That is because, in this Trumpocene Era, Trump's anti-blackness has been so normalized that it is routine and just another part of his regular schtick. Black Trump supporters — especially Trump's black supporters — along with their white counterparts, have accepted, defended, internalized, and, in not a few cases, promoted Trump's open and obvious Negrophobia.
