As brilliant as the film was, you got the impression that it glossed over major parts of the book, which has now been slightly discredited.

I will recommend to everyone reading this comment to read Manning Marable's version of Malcolm's life.

It captured so much and it is by far more authoritative than Alex Haley's version.
