Back when I was a tory for a minute 20 years ago, I met her mother when she ran for the Brent North seat in the 2003 by elections.

But Suella had been featured in a guardian article in 2002 about her aspirations in politics and judging by that article, you could see that she was incredibly ambitious and would do anything to get to the top.

So I am not at all surprised by how things have turned out.

My anger is at the profound stupidity of the great british public, who have enabled this madness.
