There’s a solid Blofeld and an interesting Howard Hughes reference in the plot. Jill St. John brightens every sequence she appears in as the sassy diamond smuggler Tiffany Case. But it often drags, it spends way too much time in the more-seedy-than-glamorous environs of Las Vegas, it has a glaring continuity error in a car chase and includes a tedious and offensive homophobic stereotype in the henchman Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd. The title song by Shirley Bassey is, of course, very good.
