A point of pride among African immigrants is their status as the most highly educated population in the United States. But what is not discussed as often is how such the opportunity for such an accomplishment came to exist in the first place. The children of these immigrants can take advantage of Black scholarships that have been created as part of a redress for the historic mistreatment of African Americans.
