Britain’s Right Wing Press Have Begun To Swallow Their Lies and Vomit On Brexit..

2016 does seem like a very long time ago.
During the referendum campaign, we were treated to all kinds of lies by the leave party, which had the motley crew of trade unions, the Conservatives and the most important lot of the bunch —the right wing press.
You must understand that the likes of The Sun, The Daily Telegraph and The Daily Mail had built up a huge following since the 1980s demonising the European Union and their elected politicians.
For those with long memories, they will remember the image of Jacques Dellor being told to f..k off by The Sun newspaper, when the Frenchman tried to sell the positives of the EU to the public.
And for a while in the 1990s, John Major found it impossible to govern, given the malign influence of his predecessor and her eurosceptic minions in parliament.
I write this because the biggest beneficiaries of the referendum trap which had been set for David Cameron by the warring factions in the Tory party were the reactionary British press.
To them it was manna from heaven.
And this explains how they were able to create a hostile atmosphere in which alternative views were attacked.
