Not unless you have been living under the rock in the last few weeks, you will have heard or read about the wave of strikes currently taking place across the United Kingdom, crippling commercial and economic activity.

We have had paramedics, teachers, junior doctors, nurses, rail and postal workers take the battle to the government by highlighting the profound difficulties of getting by, in Brexit Britain.

But if you get your information from Rupert Murdoch’s The Sun, The Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph, you would be forgiven for thinking that these poorly remunerated folks are entirely responsible for the country’s myriad problems in 2023; that the striking workers were the ones who told barefaced lies that Brexit would put £350 million pounds back into the treasury to reinvest in the NHS.
