…re, we witnessed a young, Black boy, perhaps aged three, with what appeared to be his grandparents. First, they bought him a burger bigger than his head and enough fries for three children. Then, during the entire time they sat with the child, longer than 30 minutes, neither of them spoke even one word to him. I wish I were making this up. The child may as well have been an empty chair.
