Sunday mornings are meant to be sacred.

For millions around the world, it is the one time of the week to seek spiritual connection with the one who created the earth and all within it.

But for most people in this part of the universe, it’s the perfect day to lie in and recharge ahead of the monumental stresses of everyday life in Brexit Britain.

In a report that went viral a few weeks ago, we were told that fewer people in the United Kingdom identified as Christians, thus undermining the notion of our beloved nation as a “Christian country”.

To the likes of Nigel Farage, who is forever looking for a new culture war to wage, it was yet another indication of what immigration has done to British civilization and values.

But to the discerning among us, the truth is a lot more complex.

Among the migrant communities in London, church attendance is higher then ever. You only need to get to Brixton, Wembley, Notting Hill, Brent Cross, Streatham and Hackney to see vast numbers of Black folk going to the various houses of worship.

Among the natives (White English) population, it is a completely different story. Church attendance is as low as it gets and the impression is of a group of people who have…
