The 7th of October seems like a lifetime ago, when the world was united in condemnation of Hamas and its campaign of terror against innocent Israeli citizens.

The overwhelmingly preponderant view back then was that the terror group which was funded by Iran needed to be dismantled, destroyed and defeated.

And when the reprisal attacks began, the world was fully behind Israel.

But all that began to change when the casualties of war were women and children in large numbers and this was also compounded by Israel’s refusal to listen to calls for restraint.

And the numbers, grew and grew.

While this was going on, something strange was brewing.

The mainstream media did the oligarchy’s bidding, as expected, and ignored the slaughter of thousands of innocent people and it fell to ordinary folks to use whatever power they had to protest the crimes of their governments.

Here in the UK, our unelected government legislated to ban protesting and in the US, the wealthy actively engaged in trying to censor free speech at universities with presidents of Ivy league institutions falling on their swords.

But carefully coordinated resistance came from the least likely source: the Republic of South Africa.
