Having spent a chunk of my life in that line of work, I completely agree with you.

All that, plus up to 12 hours on my feet with only a 30-minute break, earned me just $8.93 per hour. And even fetching that wage was difficult. One manager literally called me “greedy” just for wanting to work more hours.
