Having worked as a COO of the project arm of a multi national, there's a lot to be said for bosses who are able to lead with empathy, self awareness and objectivity.

I state that because errors that my line reports made were essentially mine not theirs. If we are asking people to do that which they are incapable of doing, then it's entirely my fault not theirs.

If one takes the time to carefully train them, I don't see why they shouldn't succeed.
