Writing is an impossibly difficult undertaking.

The ability to generate material without undermining the quality has got to be one of the hardest things to do.

One of the best writers here is Walter Rhein.

And I marvel at his level of consistency, day in, day out, week in, week out, month in, month out and year in, year out.

It takes a special genius to continue to grind out words which make so much sense and compels most readers to add their two cents.

And while I suspect that Mr. Rhein would be the very first to downplay his ingenuity, it must be stated that everything about his upbringing, education and life have contributed quite heavily to his creative output.

But even he must admit that he is something of an extreme outlier in this business.

Why I hear you ask?

Writers run out of steam.

Regardless of whether the reasons are pecuniary, economic, psychological or intellectual, those whose existence are contingent on generating material out of words do struggle from time to time.

I know that I do.
