I can relate to much of what you have written because my dad had a ton of books.

But the ones which made the greatest impact on me was the Britannica encyclopaedia.

Even though he became a less prolific reader in his 50s, I had, by then, been bitten by the bug.

Nothing cheers me up like reading.

I owe everything to reading.
