I Had five Articles ‘Go Viral’ In September

Here’s what I learned.

Not unless you belong to the cadre of writers whose articles are near certain to go viral, every time they hit the publish button, then this post isn’t for you.

For the rest of us operating in this space who are intent on smashing the stranglehold of the likes of the obnoxious antipodean and the apocalyptic one, who spend his time writing about America’s descent into a failed state, we hope and crave viralty with every material we generate.

And I am no different from everyone else, I must admit.

Despite my deep apathy to religion, I did pray on more than one occasion for my thoughts to be read by thousands across the globe.

And for once, the stars were unusually aligned in my favour in the month of September.

Out of 17 articles published, I had 5 go viral, which translates to 29% of my overall output, which is uncharted territory for me, since I began putting my thoughts into words, here.

The very first on the list was The Chinese empire is doomed to go the way of the American empire. In this post, I wrote about how the British template for empire building was emulated by the Americans without paying attention to the reason behind its demise at the end of the second world war.
