I must confess to being profoundly traumatized by the Brexit vote.

Not once did I think that it was conceivable that the country of my birth would plumb for the worst political decision imaginable and yet, it happened.

It is conceivable that these disparate forces(far left and right, ex generals, social media etc.) could bring about the demise of democracy in France.

You never know.
