I thoroughly enjoyed this essay; Thomas Sankara is a huge hero of mine; I remember my Ghanaian teacher telling us about him and what he stood for and how the likes of Ibrahim Babangida, the Nigerian military dictator at the time alongside the likes of Felix Houphet-boigny conspired to prevent him from being the head of Ecowas in 1987. I was only 9 at the time…..

He was a true hero of the left and a man way ahead of his time……

He will never be forgotten……
