If a Grown Woman Thinks It’s Okay For a Middle-Aged Man To Sleep With a Teenager, Then Patriarchy Will Never Be Destroyed
Not now, not ever.
Yesterday I published an article about the popularity of a disgraced member of the royal family — Prince Andrew —being higher than his nephew and his wife.
I wrote about the degree to which society was willing to forgive the sins of a paedophile while attacking the interracial couple for daring to turn their backs on a family that was fundamentally racist.
While the article in question has yet to receive vast numbers of reads, I was taken aback by the comment that I received.
The respondent in question is someone for whom I have quite a bit of respect but I couldn’t get my head round her comments.
See for yourselves below.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Ms. Pitan’s comments were as clear as day in as expressing support for the Prince’s actions.
If Prince Andrew’s actions weren’t criminal, why did he go to great lengths to avoid prosecution and why did his late mother — Queen Elizabeth II — pay a huge amount of money to settle out of court, just shortly before she died?
