The supreme paradox and hypocrisy of evangelical Christians.

The title of this article was inspired by a tweet from a gentleman named Edward Marrs.

The Bible, which is the intellectual, philosophical and spiritual underpinning of Christians, everywhere, is divided into the old and new testament.

The old testament which encompasses the five books of Moses, epistles by Kings and prophets, has 39 books, while the new testament with its account of the life of Jesus Christ and those of the apostles has 27 books.

It is worth pointing out that this is entirely different with the Catholic division of Christianity.

But anyone who has more than a passing familiarity with the old testament will agree with the view that it has more extreme plotlines than the game of thrones and that is no hyperbole.

There’s fratricide by way of Cain and Abel, Joseph and his siblings; hedonism and sexual deviancy is given the full treatment in Sodom and Gomorrah; King David’s favourite child — Absalom — goes on a raping spree of his father’s concubines.
