Just a few days ago, one of Britain’s finest ever writers —Salman Rushdie — was stabbed 15 times by a kid, who wasn’t even alive when the fatwa was issued against him for writing The Satanic Verses.

And for those with long memories, David Koresh was the leader of a cult who ensnared several thousands of people with his apocalyptic teachings. The truth was that Koresh was a prolific abuser who had found a way of beguiling people with with the book of revelation. By the time the FBI ended the stand off with Koresh, scores of women and children were found dead.

But he wasn’t the only one.

There was also Jim Jones, a man who had promised his followers utopia, so much so, they left their homes and lives in America and went with their leader into the Guyanese jungle.

What happened next was beyond horrific.

Fearing that his powers of manipulation were on the wane, our protagonist chose to activate the plan that he had always had: mass suicide.

By the time Jim Jones was done, well over 900 were dead, of whom 308 were children.

When the 19 men of Saudi, Emirati, Lebanese and Egyptian origin proceeded with their plans to fly the plane into the twin towers…
