Marcus Rashford is a highly successful soccer player who plays for one of the biggest teams in England and the national team.
Like most English soccer players, Rashford comes from a highly deprived and impoverished background.
Concerned by the government’s callousness towards children during the pandemic, our protagonist decided to do something incredibly heroic.
And what exactly did he do?
The Manchester United forward made the decision to feed several thousands of children who had been left hungry by the Conservative government’s policy of not providing school meals during the pandemic in 2020.
And this laid bare one of the very worst things about the place of my birth.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is one of the worst countries in the world if you’re a child born to poor parents.
It is said that 4.2 million children live under extreme poverty today.
We are talking about the fifth largest economy here not some shit hole country, in the words of Donald Trump.
