In Defense of Bad and Mediocre Articles
Please hear me out on this…
Bad and average articles are like atrocious sex; they happen much more often than we realize and they can be especially traumatic for those who have consented to the process.
We all seem to recognize good articles when we read one. They are truly orgasmic; your entire being is enraptured by the experience of something quite heavenly. It doesn’t matter if they are 5 or 20 minutes long, they keep you captivated along every step of the way.
The first paragraph of a brilliant post is akin to excellent foreplay; it takes the time in identifying the erogenous zones, carefully working through them, thus setting the stage for a truly mind blowing encounter, once full penetration commences.
What about average and bad articles?
Bad articles don’t usually make it past the first paragraph in most cases. It is a bit like halitosis (mouth odour) or an individual who has failed to pay any attention to his or her personal hygiene and yet expects to have his wicked way with a woman who looks like Kate Moss or Linda Evangelista.
What’s more, the tag of regularly producing bad articles becomes one that is almost difficult to shed, in a notoriously fickle business such as ours.
