The juggernaut of the Chinese Communist Politburo rolls on.

Not content with wiping the American floor with its environmentally friendly cars, building state-of-art infrastructure across the globe and elevating hundreds of millions of its people out of poverty, our friends across the East decided to take things one step further.

And what exactly was that?

Deepseek.

The unveiling of China’s version of ChatGPT has caused massive tremors in Silicon Valley in ways that no one could have predicted nor foreseen.

It is a widely acknowledged fact that Silicon Valley has been at the heart of technological innovation in the United States of America for the last half-century.

Apple’s iPhones, Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, WeWork, Uber, Lyft, Paypal, YouTube and eBay have all changed the way we eat, sleep and communicate, but their level of disruption is nothing compared to what we saw from Open AI.

Remember that it took the unicorns cited in the previous paragraph a number of years to reach 100 million users and it took ChatGPT only a few months to achieve the status of its technological forebears.
