It’s been a fortnight since Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II passed away.

For those who do not know, the recently deceased monarch was the head of the Church of England and defender of the faith.

This peculiar arrangement of being the head of the Anglican mission was down to one of her forebears —Henry VIII —who chose to breakaway from the Catholic church and set up his own.

Even though it was repealed by Queen Mary I, Elizabeth I put it back in place and it has remained that way ever since.

Her Majesty, on the advice of the ruling politicians, gets to appoint the Archbishop of Canterbury, who swears an oath of allegiance to Her Majesty

So why have I brought this up?

The bible and its supposed veracity.

It is the case that the bible is the basis of Christianity.

We derive our guidance on all spiritual and moral matters from this book.
