However excruciatingly difficult life is for millions of people in the United Kingdom, we are grateful for little mercies that things are nowhere as bad as they are for the vast majority of citizens in America.

The National Health Service, as profoundly dysfunctional as it is, is still accessible for every man, woman and child at the point of need in Great Britain.

And this is more than you can say for our cousins across the Atlantic.

Not even the first Black President’s Affordable Care Act, known disparagingly as Obama Care, went as far in addressing deep-seated problems with health care coverage for the poorest and most vulnerable in the United States.

Insurance companies have made an absolute killing from exploiting millions of Americans, plunging people into debts from which they can never repay or recover.

And it is against the backdrop of insatiable greed and rapacity of insurance companies that some libertarian decided to take matters to hands and assassinate a CEO in broad daylight.

Not unless you have been living under a rock, you will have heard about the Chief of United Healthcare — Brian Thompson — was murdered by a lone warrior, a few…
