You could argue with great credibility, that the current war between Ukraine and Russia, is America versus China by proxy.

When I use the term proxy, It is to describe something being done on behalf of someone else.

For all students of history, they will readily recognize that proxy wars aren’t new; they have been with us for the very longest time.

At the height of the cold war in the twentieth century, there were a number of proxy wars that were fought. In the 1950s, you had the Korean war, which led to the founding of North Korea, which was backed by communist China and Russia and you had South Korea, which was backed by Japan and the United States.

In the 1960s, we had the Cuban missile crisis, which brought the world to the very brink of a nuclear holocaust. Clearly, Russia had no business stationing nuclear war heads in America’s backyard, But it is pertinent to point out that the United States did have weapons stationed in Turkey, which wasn’t too far from the Soviet Russia.
