Last week, the news broke that during the national lockdown in 2020, Boris Johnson held a Christmas party with a number of journalists in attendance, with copious amounts of alcohol served and consumed by everyone present.

What followed was a raft of denials from the press office at Downing street, stating that nothing of the sort happened. But given how incredibly, compulsively mendacious Boris and his minions are, no one believed a word.
