Also, if we’re being entirely honest, after the relentless barrage of criticism and hysteria that’s come from not only republicans and members of his own party, but the media as well during and following the withdrawal, this speech took a considerable amount of courage. Joe Biden accepted the responsibility for this decision and its aftermath unequivocally in spite of what it could potentially cost him politically, and that is something to be commended.
