That’s how invalidation works. It turns the moral tables on you, and gets you to question everything about yourself. Since then, I’ve wised up a little. Experience invalidation enough times, and you learn to spot it pretty quickly. You have to, because it’s dangerous. It’s the key tool abusers haul out when they’re about to lose control.
