Joe Biden is having a moment in his presidency.
Extricated from the almighty mess that the Russian-Ukrainian war is fast turning into along with spiraling inflation, mounting job losses in the tech world and Donald Trump’s impending trial into hush money payments, the octogenarian American President is finding home comfort, thousands of miles away from Washington.
Just in case you were wondering what exactly I am banging on about, I am referring to President Joseph Robinette Biden’s trip to the Republic of Ireland.
And I have to say that it is as warm a welcome as any foreign politician will ever get in Ireland.
Not even William Jefferson Clinton or Barack Obama were accorded the sort of reception that the incumbent of the most powerful job in the world was given when he stepped into Dublin.
And I am prepared to wager that John Fitzgerald Kennedy would have topped the lot, had he survived and made a trip to the land of his ancestors.
But back to the subject of Joe Biden.
