Joe Biden v Mitch McConnell: Who Will Blink (or unravel) First?
The tale of two old men, their tenuous grip on reality and their ever present lust for power.
The fate of the free world is in the hands of two octogenarians.
I am referring to the President of the United States of America — Joe Biden and the most senior Republican in the Senate —Mitch McConnell.
Yesterday, during an event in the Senator’s home state, McConnell, not for the first time, froze, unable to say a word or respond to questions from the press.
While it is clear to everyone to see that all is not well with the veteran politician, our man is determined to hold on to power for as long as possible.
And you could say the same for the leader of the free world.
President Biden has had far too many senior moments since he stepped into the job in January 2021. Folks will remember when he referred to the British Prime Minister to a name contrary to his actual name.
There was also the episode during the G7 summit, where it seemed that ‘sleepy joe’ had his hands outstretched to no one in particular.
