The highlight of the last few days has been the exceptionally warm weather.

At times like these, this author is usually inclined to go on long walks as opposed to travelling by train or by bus.

The reason for this is that the sweltering heat usually brings out the worst in xenophobes, racists, ableists and those encumbered by all kinds of bigotry.

And speaking of bigots, our friends emerged from their caves to denounce the French President —Emmanuel Macron — for his comments, regarding Brexit.

In his press conference with the Prime Minister of The United Kingdom —Keir Starmer — our closest neighbour across the English channel, wasted absolutely no time in stating that the decision to leave the European Union has been disastrous across board.

To underscore his points, Macron pointed to Britain’s failed immigration policy, which has not in any reasonable way, stemmed the flow of boats to the borders.

Our protagonist also pointed to the economy, which is reeling from negative growth and high inflation, as evidence of the abysmal failure of Brexit.
