Medium Is Witnessing The Greatest Exodus of Its Star Writers
And it needs to act very quickly…
I guess you could call it case of cognitive dissonance.
When Jessica Wildfire wrote her angry piece about Medium pushing its writers to the wall, I was among those who felt that it was the view of a writer who was unaccustomed to competition from new and burgeoning voices.
Those words were my response to her and she was understandably unimpressed by my comments and promptly blocked me from her page.
But since the start of the year, my numbers have inexplicably plummeted and judging by the pattern in the month of March, I expect it to fall even further.
And I am not the only one to have noticed this trend.
Susie Kearley has written extensively about this too.
In a bid to get my head round this, I went to Substack earlier today to look at the account that I had set up well over 15 months ago.
And during the course of the time spent on Substack, I found Tim Denning, Wildfire and a host of other household names on this platform.
