Our economy too has been undergoing the process of entropy since the founding of the colonies. The original purpose of the colonies, from a business perspective, was to use them as a source for raw materials and as a market for products. Those raw materials were shipped to the mother country where they were used to make goods. Those goods were then sold back to the colonists and elsewhere. Fast forward to 2022. Today the goods we buy come from an incredibly fragmented process. The raw materials come from one (or more) places. The parts are made in another place. And the product is assembled in another place altogether. Where is it sold? Everywhere. Welcome to the age of Frankenstein products.
