My parents relocated to Lagos, right before the military coup of 1983, just like you, i lived in Lagos, got to learn Yoruba and pidgin!

I must say that it has been mad crazy but very enjoyable being in this town!

The major downside is the lack of libraries and bookshops! In London, I can walk into Waterstones and Foyles or even the British Library for that matter spending the entire day in those spaces, reading anything and everything, but that isn’t a privilege afforded to me here……..
