Worth asking…

The numbers are down across board.

Earnings are down and views have plummeted precipitously.

And despite protestations to the contrary from Tony Stubblebine, something isn’t quite right at Medium

And it’s all unfolding right before our very eyes: The 16th biggest bank in the United States has gone bust and putting several thousand start ups on both sides of the Atlantic at risk.

When I write ‘both sides of the Atlantic’ it’s to make it clear that the effects of the Silicon Valley Bank collapse are reverberating here in the UK.

Anyone who’s read my previous article will readily appreciate the point being made here: lots of British tech firms are exposed and if these companies don’t have access to funds by the end of the week, chances are that they will have shut shop.

And whether you like it or not, our beloved platform might very well be at risk.

Medium, at risk of going bust?

Yes indeed.

These things don’t happen overnight.

When Ev Williams made the all important decision to step aside last year, was this in anticipation of what was to come?
