Sir,

Thanks very much for your article.

By stating that we need to learn economics, you have broadened the dimensions of our discourse, having said that your arguments are a bit right wing, which I have slight issues.

we only need to look at past governments and the huge mistakes that they made which we are still paying for

1.structural adjustment program (IBB)

2.foreign aid (IBB and subsequent governments)

3. Fiscal irresponsibility ( Gowon et al)

4. Fuel subsidy (Obasanjo (as a military leader)et al)

we can’t add corruption to the mix for obvious reasons….

Given the state of literacy in the country and our intelligentsia, it’s no surprise that we are still churning ideas that are simply not working for us…..

I should also state that you shouldn’t single out Yele Sowore for the 100,000 Naira minimum wage if we have senators who are being paid huge sums of money to do sweet FA!

I personally would support economic policies that would help dispossess the wealthy to help give our poor people a leg up…

we cannot have a system that works for the wealthiest 1% and destroys the souls of the rest…. enough is enough.
