2022 has been an extraordinary year in every sense of the word.

There have been surprises, shocks and everything else in between.

We had Russia wage war against its neighbour — Ukraine and China threatening to do the same with Taiwan with the United States of America playing the role of the disinterested player quite adroitly.

Elon Musk, in his quest for complete control of our lives, took over Twitter with disastrous results. We became much more familiar with the term Incel and the pernicious effects their leading protagonists have on our teenage boys.

Joe Biden, however sleepy you may think he is, has outwitted and outplayed the Republicans at every turn in the last twelve months.

Here in Britain, we have had one of those years that will be dissected by historians for very many years to come.

Three Prime Ministers, four Chancellors of the exchequer tried making sense of our current political impasse with very little success and Britain became even more of a basket case in 2022 than we have in our entire history, with Boris Johnson and Liz Truss making Edward Heath and James Callaghan look like Winston Churchill and Lloyd George.
