This week marks a year since Queen Elizabeth II passed away.

At the time of her passing, there were no questions regarding who the pariahs in the family were: We all knew that Prince Andrew and Prince Harry were persona non-grata at Buckingham palace.

But how they came to that point was of very little importance to the royal commentators and the wider public.

It certainly didn’t matter that one of the individuals was a close friend of a sex trafficker awaiting trial and nor did it matter that he had had sex with an underaged girl.

In the eyes of the public, he was nothing but a ‘daft royal’.

And there was the other individual, who was completely ostracized from the clan.

Why I hear you ask?

For daring to stand up for his wife, who was being relentlessly bullied by press and members of the family, into which she had married.

To them, she was the one who was tainting the ‘royal blood’ with her Blackness and one whose presence couldn’t be tolerated.

And Prince Harry, who until his marriage to Meghan Markle, was as feckless as they…
