There should be blood on the streets instead…

The Regal Charles III with jewels stolen from South Africa and India

Tomorrow, the world’s attention will be on the capital city of the United Kingdom.

Life, as we know it, will ground to a halt, in order for the most ancient of rituals to take place.

The diamond encrusted crown, which was stolen from India and South Africa will be displayed in all of its glory and placed on the head of Charles III as he takes the oath of office to defend the profoundly corrupt and morally bankrupt institution of the British monarchy.

But that isn’t the story.

The real story is of the United Kingdom in 2023 being more impoverished than it has ever been in recent history.

The story of the proliferation of food banks, to serve those who have to choose between heating and eating; and those who simply cannot afford to live and rent in London.

Life in Brexit Britain is a million miles away from what it used to be.
