Tempers are fraying.
The streets are out of control and Anarchy is threatening to reign supreme.
The police are out in large numbers but are seriously struggling to contain the folks who have elected to take matters into their own hands.
And what’s more, the government of the day might not survive this onslaught.
But no, this isn’t the United Kingdom.
It is our neighbours across the channel — France.
Ever since Macron’s government announced legislation to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64, the French people have taken to the streets to protest the new law.
But here’s what I find interesting about the French protests:
Not one British media outlet has reported the riots.
Not one.
Not the print or broadcasting media.
Not the BBC, ITV or any of the right wing tabloids have reported what’s currently going on in France.
And why might that be?
Contagion.
