A victim of a Faustian pact or a narcissistic disorder?
It was only a few years ago that the multi-award winning rapper, Kanye West was in huge debt.
Our man was in the red by 53 million dollars and actually reached out to Mark Zuckerberg for help in dealing with his financial situation.
And yet, in six extraordinary years, West has gone from being in the red to being a billionaire several times over.
But the manner in which it was done, does leave quite a bitter taste in the mouths of millions of people across the Atlantic.
Millions of Black people.
As Americans and the rest of the world were coming to terms with the election of Donald Trump, there were a few people who knew that an opportunity of a lifetime had dropped on their laps.
Steve Harvey and Jim Brown had gone to the Trump towers to be seen with the now ex-president.
But the one figure which got the rest of the world talking was Kanye West.
And the one with whom Trump was especially proud of being photographed.
