The United States of America is a serial loser.

If all you knew about world history was from Hollywood blockbusters, you are more than likely to take a very different view on this subject.

But it is worth pointing out that It has lost too many wars than it is prepared to admit or come to terms with.

The Vietnam war was a resounding failure and whatever lessons there were to learn from its humiliation in Indo-China, clearly weren’t learnt and this set the stage for everything which took place in the intervening decades.

The second gulf war, which was meant to bring closure to what it had failed to do in the first, which was to oust Saddam Hussein, has led to the disintegration of a nation-state.

While this article will never valorize the erstwhile strongman of Iraq, given the very many crimes which he had committed against his own people during his reign, our man did manage to keep the country on an even-keel for the longest time.

Afghanistan is another one of its losses.

In the aftermath of 9/11, America did have carte blanche to go to the furthest ends of the earth to destroy…

The last time the United States of America decisively won a war, was in 1945, when it comprehensively defeated Hitler and totalitarian fascism in Western Europe.

The United States did not "comprehensively" defeat Hitler; that was accomplished by the British and the Soviets; we DID, however, comprehensively defeat Japan.

Any win next to Trump's name, either hypothetical, imagined or real, frightens me. I think he is evil personified. He is a predatory narcissist.

And if you think for a minute Joe Biden pulled out of Afghan because of some good sense of his, cmon man, he pulled out because he knew what was coming to…
