The United Kingdom is officially in recession.
With this situation comes negative economic growth, high interest rates to curb inflation, austerity measures and not forgetting political instability.
And when we specifically examine what political instability has done to the country by way of three prime ministers in one calendar year or five in six years, then you start to grasp the nettle on the extent of the damage that we are currently grappling with in one of the world’s major economies.
But here’s what: This isn’t a point made by some poxy writer, desperately seeking an audience and looking to be the dominant political writer in this space, but by an individual, who worked for the bank of England until quite recently.
But we have the slightly unusual situation of having a government being run by a fringe group known as the ERG, which dictates policy to our elected officials.
